Atama
Atama was one the pioneers in Brazilian jiu-jitsu kimonos. Royce Gracie wore an Atama BJJ kimono during his victory at UFC 1 back on Nov 12, 1993, the day that most of North America was first introduced to the gentle art. Many photos of Grandmaster Helio taken during the 90’s aslo show him sporting a crisp, white, Atama jiu-jitsu gi.
Atama has been making top quality BJJ kimonos in Brazil since 1989, and still produces them there to this day. They sponsor many of today’s top athletes such as Kyra Gracie, Mackenzie Dern, Bruno Malfacine, and Tanquinho just to name a few. Atama provides BJJ enthusiasts all over the world with cutting edge styles designed for comfort, performance, and durability.
