This one of a kind, limited run Lucky Gi was inspired by old western movies. Who didn’t want to be a cowboy as a kid? Scotty Nelson, the founder of Lucky Gi,  was always intrigued by the story of the Dead Man’s Hand, which was Aces and Eights. You never know when it’s your time and you always have to be ready. It was a lawless time, so relying on yourself was essential to survival.

To Scotty that resembles Jiu Jitsu.

It is one on one combat. Technique, speed, timing, and emotional intelligence were a means of life and death. It isn’t simply about the gun, or in this case, the Gi. It is the person behind it.

550 gram brushed micro pearl weave blended top. The poly blend makes the Gi shrink much less than other Gis on the market.

This Gi literally wicks away the moisture, so when you are grinding through a hard training session you feel a sense a freedom and pride at your work rather than feeling like you are in a sauna with a straight jacket on.

Finely taught weave. This Gi does not easily stretch, so your opponent cannot easily get a grip on you. Who wants to give an opponent a simple advantage when it is unnecessary? Jiu Jitsu is a game of inches, not yards.

The new 2015 UVA collar-style is pliable yet remarkably durable, so your opponent will surely have to have the correct choke in order to get the choke. Again, Lucky Gis are true to the game, so we don’t want you getting choked because you have some wimpy collar, giving your opponent and unnecessary advantage. Although the collar is strong, it is also light and pliable, in the sense that you can use it to for any type of looping to play a modern style game if you so choose.

2 Draw String Options allows you to customize your pants the exact way you want them to fit around your waist. This is actually crucial during rolling or competition. Who wants to continually tie their pants after they reset time after time. The goal is to roll, not spend time dressing yourself roll after roll.
